The Forest Products Management Development Institute (FPMDI)
The FPMDI is held within the College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Science (CFANS) of the University of Minnesota. It mission is to increase knowledge about wood products production and use, and associated issues strategies, and technologies on the part of forest products industry employees, key forest products consumer groups, and those involved in shaping national and regional forest policy.
One of the functions of the Forest Products Management Development Institute (FPMDI) is to conduct educational programs for the benefit of the forest products industry. FPMDI programs are available to individuals and firms nationwide. You can either register for one of FPMDI's scheduled seminars or workshops, or can arrange for a customized seminar or workshop to be held at a location of your choosing. >>MORE
INCAE Business School
INCAE is a private, non-profit, multinational, higher-education organization devoted to teaching and research endeavors in the fields of business and economics aimed at training and instructing, from a worldwide perspective, individuals capable of successfully holding top management positions in Latin America. In 1964, the business community and the governments of the Central American nations founded INCAE as an initiative. Since its inception it has had the technical supervision of the Harvard Business School.
INCAE's mission is to actively promote the comprehensive development of the countries served, enhancing leadership skills within the key sectors by improving management practices, attitudes, and values.
Within INCAE is the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (CLACDS), established in 1996 to promote changes in public policies, business strategies and civil society actions, which allow the region to obtain higher levels of competitiveness and sustainability in its development. >>MORE
Center for Integrated Leadership (CIL)
The Center for Integrative Leadership at the University of Minnesota aims to develop a better understanding of how collective action across sectors (business, government, nonprofits, media, academia) and geographic boundaries can solve some of the world’s most pressing and complex societal problems. Center for Science, Technology, and Public Policy (STPP)
The Center for Science, Technology & Public Policy explores the increasingly important role that science and technology plays in our society and examines its implications for public policy at the international, national and state levels. Faculty and the Center offer a number of courses in Science, Technology & Environmental Policy and also conduct research workshops, seminars, roundtables and symposia to inform local and national decision-making.
The Center has focused its research and outreach activities primarily on issues relating to energy, the environment and climate change. We have also published research on issues relating to biotechnology and nanotechnology. Additional areas of interest include the impact of technology based economic development initiatives on regional economies, telecommunications as well as science and math education policies. >>MORE
