Directions from the Airport to the Coffman Memorial Union, Univ. of Minnesota:

A much faster and enjoyable way to travel from the Minneapolis St. Paul airport is by using the Light Rail system. There is a station located in the airport. Signs will point you to the light rail, and people at the terminals information booths can also direct you. You can take the train into downtown Minneapolis and exit at Downtown East/Metrodome Station. From there you can take a taxi or the bus (#16 or #50) toward the University of Minnesota (the next stop after you cross the Mississippi River is the Coffman Memorial Union stop).
